OUR COMMITTEES

Thank you for your interest in serving on an HSA Committee. As a family member of a student at Holy Trinity Catholic School, you are automatically a member of HSA and membership is free! Our fundraising programs are intended to cover the costs of community building events and academic enrichment programs throughout the year. In addition to community activities for our students and families, funds are used to sponsor teacher and staff events such as Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week and other staff luncheons. Our fundraisers include Theme Dress Days, Crusader Closet, Used Uniform Sales, Rewards Programs, Spirit Wear, and Spirit Nights.

According to the HTCS Family Handbook, each family is asked to provide a minimum of 25 volunteer service hours per year to HTCS. Service hours may be counted for volunteer hours in any of the many activities sponsored by HSA. Additionally, one service hour may be earned for every $15.00 spent and unreimbursed towards a purchase related to teacher appreciation and HSA events.

Note: All volunteers on campus will require a criminal background check as well as completion of the “Virtus” Safe Environment training required by the Diocese. Training dates and locations are listed on the Diocese website and the required training hours can be counted as part of your 25 volunteer service hours.

Thank you for supporting our school!

Community Events Committee
Various activities are held throughout the school year that may require extra volunteers to coordinate such as Back to School Party, Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, Halls Pumpkin Patch, and End of the Year Party.

Crusader Companions
This is a great way to help new HTCS families feel welcome and become familiar with our school.
Current families are matched with a new family that may be in their same parish and/or have children in the same grade.
Volunteer families are needed to assist new families throughout their first school year.

Helping Hands
This committee serves HTCS families in the event of a surgery, prolonged illness, the birth of a child, hospitalization of a parent or student or death of someone in the family.
Volunteers provide a homemade or pre-made meal, or purchase restaurant gift cards.
This is a great opportunity for those that work and/or have young children at home.

Partners in Prayer
This committee gathers to pray for the special intentions of our students, families, teachers and school staff. We pray the rosary prior to mass every Wednesday morning in the chapel and offer assistance for additional Spiritual events such as Reconciliation and Monthly Adoration. We provide treats for the teachers several times a year on Marian feast days and we coordinate the travelling Mary icon through the classrooms.

Room Parents
Room Parents plan and coordinate the three class parties: Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day and are also responsible for general duties and communications needed by the teacher.
In addition, the 7th grade parents plan the 8th grade graduation reception and 1st grade parents plan a First Communion reception in the spring for the 2nd graders.
Lastly, we encourage the room parents to coordinate class gatherings throughout the year to encourage community building on a class/grade level.

Teacher Appreciation Week
Volunteers are needed both before and during this special week to plan and implement a successful springtime celebration.
Book Fair Committee
The Follett Book Fair is held twice a school year. Volunteers are needed with set-up, tear-down, stocking books and working the cash register.

Crusader Closet
Used uniform sales will be held regularly and also by appointment.
Volunteers are needed for set-up, tear-down, and sales support.

Fundraising Committee
Volunteers are needed to plan and promote fundraising events, participation at monthly Spirit Nights, Theme Dress Days and Grandparents' Day.

Hospitality Committee
This committee provides baked goods, meals or other items needed for school-sponsored events such as staff luncheons and president and principal coffees.
Volunteers are also needed for set-up & clean-up.
This is another great opportunity for those that work or have young children at home.

Reward Programs
Volunteers are needed to promote participation of our Box Tops rewards program and purchase rebates programs (e.g., Amazon Smile, Alberstons/Tom Thumb, Kroger)
This is a great opportunity for those that work and/or have young children at home.

Spirit Wear Committee
Volunteers are needed to help sort and distribute Spirit Wear items ordered by school families throughout the year
